Navaar House Hotel directions map

Re: - route to hotel & attractions

All directions except M6: - Head for Edinburgh and join City bypass continuing round from either end to Straiton junction where you head along A701 sign-posted Penicuik/Peebles. This route comes in from Edinburgh direction at top of map.

After entering Penicuik carry on straight through the town for 1 mile when you will turn in to a long bend to the right passing the Town Hall on to High Street. Turn next right (it looks as if it is straight on) and follow West Street which changes to Bog Road for 200 yards. Navaar House Hotel is on left.

From the south take the M6, which becomes the M74 and look for the A702 to Edinburgh which you join at Abington (Junction 13).

If you decide to come of the A74 at Abington you would turn right shortly after leaving the A74 heading for Edinburgh. Continue north till you pass Biggar, West Linton and Carlops. The road to Penicuik is sign-posted a few minutes later and you would turn right along the A766. This road brings you into Penicuik where you would turn first right along by playing fields and past the Craigiebield Hotel and Police Station. The Navaar House Hotel is next door.

Have a safe and pleasant journey.

The Navaar House Hotel is in its own grounds yet only 200 yards from the town centre which has lots of pubs and restaurants. We have a large car park. All rooms are en suite and decorated to a high standard. We have 3 large log fires in the bars & restaurant.

There is a regular bus service to Edinburgh with stops outside the front door.

The Pentland Hills with superb views of Edinburgh and Forth Bridges are close by.

There are many golf courses within easy reach.

Historic Rosslyn Chapel and Castle are 5 minutes away. The chapel was made even more well known by the da Vinci Codes novel. It is a magnificent chapel in its own right.

Edinburgh Crystal is based in Penicuik.

There is a local riverside walk passing through Penicuik Estate to Penicuik House and on to the Pentland Hills.
